New Delhi. Due to the announcement of the proposed demonstration of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on October 10 in the national capital Delhi, security agencies have made strict arrangements. Despite not getting police permission, tight security arrangements have been made in Jantar Mantar and surrounding areas, due to which commuters and common citizens traveling to Delhi are facing a lot of inconvenience.
Jantar Mantar protest and tight security arrangements
Seeing CJP’s performance in the capital Delhi, Delhi Police seems to be fully prepared. Due to lack of permission for demonstration, intensive checking campaign is being conducted on all the borders of Delhi. As a precaution to maintain law and order, many metro stations in the capital have been closed and internet services have also been temporarily disrupted in some selected sensitive areas. Apart from this, CJP founder Abhijeet Deepke is reported to have been detained by the police at Delhi Airport itself.
Problems and restrictions on movement of journalists
The traffic system in the national capital has come to a standstill due to security restrictions and strict barricades. Media persons have also faced difficulties as security forces have tightly cordoned off the route between Jantar Mantar and Hanuman Temple and their movement has been unofficially restricted.
Political rhetoric and sharp reactions
Political excitement over this entire incident has also intensified. The leaders of the ruling party have launched a strong attack on the opposition and anarchist elements regarding this protest. The leaders say that some political parties and groups working at the behest of foreign powers are trying to create unnecessary instability and tension in the country to disrupt the pace of development and progress of the country. The government and security agencies are committed to deal with such forces with utmost strictness.
