Mumbai Indian 3, the third part of famous Bollywood actor Kamal Haasan’s popular franchise Indian, has now entered the post-production phase. The work of this film is progressing rapidly. Many parts of this film, being made under the banner of Lyca Productions, were shot along with Indian 2, which has been confirmed by the makers. The release date of the film being made under the direction of director Shankar has not been officially announced yet, but with the start of post-production, it is clear that the film will be in front of the audience soon. The story of Indian 3 will move forward from Indian 2 and will also go towards the past, through which the audience will be able to know important aspects related to Senapati’s past. In the film, Kamal Haasan’s character Senapati will once again be seen taking the lead against corruption, but a major part of the story will be related to the life and ideals of his father Veerasekaran Balram. A glimpse of this story was given at the end of Indian 2, which increased the curiosity among the audience.
This successful franchise started with the 1996 release Indian, in which Kamal Haasan played the role of Senapati, a freedom fighter and martial arts expert. He fights against corruption in his own way and comes face to face with his own son Chandru in the story. Almost 28 years later, Indian 2 was released, in which Senapati once again continues his fight against corruption. Kamal Haasan had confirmed in 2024 itself that the shooting of both Indian 2 and Indian 3 films has been completed. After this, work was done on the release and post-production of Indian 2. Although Indian 2 did not do well at the box office, Shankar and Kamal Haasan have resumed work on Indian 3. All the post-production work including VFX of the film is being finalized.
