New Delhi. In a major reshuffle in the administrative structure, the Central Government has approved new posting of 27 officers of the level of Joint Secretary and its equivalent. An official order related to this approval taken by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has been issued. Apart from 13 officers of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), senior officers of other central services are also included in this reorganization list.
Appointment of officers in major departments
In the latest reshuffle, Tripura cadre IAS officer Brijesh Pandey has been appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Capital Development, where he will hold the post for the next 5 years. Apart from this, Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer Tanvi Sundriyal has been given the charge of Joint Secretary, Department of Corporate Affairs, where she will serve till August 2030. Earlier this post was being held by Rahul Jain. At the same time, Inderjit Singh has been posted as Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture.
New responsibilities in the Ministry of Home and Urban Development
Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer Manish Trighatia has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Urban Development Department. Along with this, new appointments have been made to the posts of Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, IAS officer Ravi Shankar, IRS officer Chittaranjan Das, ISS officer P Manoj Kumar and IAS officer Abhishek Bhagotia.
He was made Deputy Election Commissioner
Rajasthan cadre and batch 2010 IAS officer Prakash Rajpurohit has been appointed to the post of Deputy Election Commissioner, ECI. His tenure will be for 5 years. Earlier Sanjay Kumar was handling the responsibility of this post.
These IAS officers also got new assignments
West Bengal cadre IAS officer C. Marugan has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Road Transport and Highways. Bihar cadre IAS officer Ramachandrudu has been appointed to the post of Ministry of Minority Affairs. More Ashish Madhavrao has been appointed to the post of National Health Authority (JS Level) Additional CEO. Earlier, IAS officer Madhu Rani Tewatia was working on this post. Varnali Deka (AM: 2009) has been appointed to the post of Joint Secretary of the National Health Authority.
