New Delhi. Political activity has intensified in the national capital Delhi ahead of the protests by opposition parties against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and the India Block meeting. Leaders of various parties have raised sharp questions on the functioning of the Election Commission and the electoral processes.

Protest at Telangana Bhavan and Revanth Reddy’s stand

Registering a strong protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy led the protest organized at Telangana Bhawan in Delhi. During this, opposition leaders vocally expressed their views against the Election Commission and emphasized on the impartiality of democratic institutions across the country.

Serious allegations against Akhilesh Yadav and SP leaders

Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav before leaving for Delhi made a strong attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party. He alleged that fake and double votes are still being cast on a large scale at the behest of BJP. He said that despite the completion of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists in Uttar Pradesh, there are huge discrepancies in the lists, due to which the impartiality of the Election Commission appears doubtful. At the same time, SP MP Dharmendra Yadav clarified that this march of India Block is not a part of any show of strength, but a basic demand of the entire country.

Vigilance increased outside Constitution Club and movement of leaders

In view of the upcoming meeting and protest march of India Block, very tight security arrangements have been made around the Constitution Club of India. Senior leaders of opposition parties continue to arrive to participate in the meeting. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, party president Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra left the Constitution Club after necessary discussions.

Strategy and statements of opposition leaders

Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy informed that leaders of all opposition parties are uniting in the Constitution Club and the route of the march and further strategy are being discussed. Along with this, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad said that the protection of democracy is paramount and said that the public is most important in this system and the opposition is moving forward unitedly to protect it.
