New Delhi. Political turmoil and protests continue in the national capital Delhi on Monday. Leaders of the main opposition alliance ‘India’ are preparing to march to the Supreme Court in protest against various issues and recent developments. However, Chief Justice of India (CJI) Surya Kant has rejected the request and application of the opposition leaders to meet, saying that the matters related to the case are sub judice in the court. Despite this, opposition leaders have indicated that they will remain firm on their planned march and appeal.

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) stance and activities

Meanwhile, leaders of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) have also approached the Sansad Marg police station demanding permission from the Delhi Police or fixing a new date for the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar. The party representatives have asked the administration to take a clear stand regarding their demands and peaceful organization of the protest.

Impact on security and traffic

In view of these protests and political marches in the capital, security arrangements have been made extremely tight. Delhi Police has issued detailed traffic advisories to maintain overall security and law and order. Along with this, in order to control the safety of passengers and smooth movement, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has decided to keep the entry and exit gates of select metro stations in the central zone closed from 6 am to 4 pm. Heavy police forces and security agencies have been deployed in sensitive areas.
