Film industry mourns the death of Nana Patekar, post mortem in the presence of son

Pune. Bollywood’s famous and veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away on October 8. He was 75 years old. When the medical team reached his home, the actor was found unconscious. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where despite all the efforts of the doctors, he could not be saved. Since this is a medico-legal matter, his post-mortem will be conducted today.

Doctors’ efforts in hospital and Salman Khan’s program canceled

According to doctors at Manipal Hospital, he was declared dead at 5:20 am. Continuous CPR was given for about 45 minutes to save his life, but he did not respond. After his death, film actor Salman Khan canceled one of his events in Mumbai. In a statement issued by the organizers and the team, it was said that today’s program is being postponed in honor of the sudden tragic demise of Nana Patekar.

Funeral and family reaction

Nana Patekar’s son Malhar has reached the hospital from Goa, where he met doctors and family members while the necessary paperwork was completed. After the completion of the formalities the mortal remains will be handed over to the relatives. Ganesh Thorat, CEO of his social organization ‘Naam Foundation’, informed that his mortal remains will be brought to Pune at around 5 pm. His last rites will be performed at his farmhouse in Donje on the outskirts of Pune.

Pankaj Tripathi and the wave of mourning in the film industry

Actor Pankaj Tripathi has expressed deep grief over the demise of Nana Patekar and called him his guru. He said that Nanaji’s demise is an irreparable loss for the entire film industry and a very personal loss for him. Recalling the experience of the film ‘Kaala’, he said that Nana Patekar had given him guidance on the nuances of acting and many important aspects of life, which he will always miss.
