Islamabad. Qasim Khan, son of former Prime Minister of Pakistan and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, has made serious allegations against the Pakistani administration, claiming that the authorities have kidnapped his three aunts. Through a post on the social media platform

Loss of contact with father and uncertainty over health

Qasim Khan also revealed that there is complete silence regarding the affairs of his father Imran Khan and he and his brother have not got any chance to contact their father for more than six months. The situation is such that he does not even have accurate information about his father’s health condition. It is noteworthy that Imran Khan is serving his sentence in Adiala jail from August 2023.

Imran’s sisters were arrested last month

Imran Khan’s three sisters—Alima Khan, Noreen Niazi and Uzma Khan—were taken into preventive custody for 30 days last month just ahead of a proposed protest march by PTI to Islamabad. Through this march, the party was demanding information about Imran Khan’s health and his release. Qasim says that thousands of Pakistani citizens are peacefully protesting against this political and illegal imprisonment by taking to the streets. He said in a warning tone that as long as the democratic wishes of the people are crushed and their popular leaders are kept behind bars, peace and stability cannot be maintained in the country.

Petition filed in Lahore High Court

This entire matter came to light when a petition was filed in the Lahore High Court on behalf of the family. Advocate Rana Muddassar Omar filed two separate civil applications on behalf of Shahrez Khan, son of Alima Khan, and Sakina Niazi, daughter of Noreen Niazi. In these petitions, the order of banning the family and lawyers from meeting the detained women and not giving them medicines on time has been challenged. The main allegation of the family is that relatives and lawyers are being continuously deprived of meeting them. On September 24, the Lahore High Court had rejected the demand to immediately cancel the detention notification of these sisters, after which the family remains continuously worried about their safety and health.
